World of Unity post says multitudes of meditations going around the world on Friday. More on that below this:

I want to share with MedMob a special way we sat in Westlake on Sunday the 16th, a SPIRAL sit:
Buddhist Peace Fellowship sent out an international call to sit with meditators at Occupy Wall Street 3pm EST. So at noon here we started a spiral sit in the center of Westlake Park plaza. Each person passed a roll of orange surveyors tape to the next person. Passersby just kept adding themselves on, some with silent or quiet encouragement, and at the end of 22 minutes we had tripled our numbers to nearly 50 including babes in arms.
At 12:22, we stood and holding the tape, we unwound from the inside (like a spiral dance), looking at each other while singing: Step By Step The Longest March; and then You Know That I Know That I Love You (What I Want You To Know Is That I Know That You Love Me!).
We ended in a circle, sending the blessings. But we could just as easily have done the Mob disappear thing-- the line could have just gone off and away (coming back for meditation stuff?! dunno). Anyway a spiral sit is a great idea that can be done anytime and keep stretching on and on vs. a circle which can seem closed with less joining in......
I do want to say I like the idea of milling about and sharing tea--can get a few people to join with us at the meditation start that way, too!
To attend a meeting, please RSVP with your name to peaceisinpieces@gmail.com or call (206)363-1699. We will get back to you with directions.
